| Other Available Animals for Adoption Dogs The adoption fee for puppies is $175 plus a $50 refundable deposit on proof of spay or neuter, and $125 for spayed/neutered dogs. (Cash or cheque - we cannot accept debit or credit cards). Rabbits are $25. All animals have been vet checked and given initial vaccinations. Animals which have been with us long enough have also received booster shots. You will also receive a voucher for a free vet check, to be arranged within 48 hours. Before adopting a pet, make sure you have considered how it will fit into your lifestyle. Dogs, in particular, require exercise, grooming and LOTS of attention. Too many dogs are returned because many owners don't realize how much work is involved in their care, and they expect good behavior without taking the time to train the animal. It is also recommended that families with children under 5 years of age do not adopt adult dogs - they are almost always returned.
